Eating healthy in Maui never feels like a chore. Hawai’i is home to many delicious tropical fruits and superfoods like noni, lychee, and spirulina. You can eat the best fruit you’ve ever had, enjoy the health benefits, and shop local—at  the Upcountry Farmers Market and these Maui businesses—all at the same time. If you’re also a seafood lover, you’ll probably never find fresher fish and sushi. You can even book a deep-sea fishing trip and get involved in catching a world-class sashimi meal. It’s served right on the boat just minutes after being caught.

Getting the right amount of Vitamin D boosts your energy levels, while a deficiency can cause fatigue and muscle weakness. Sun exposure is a great, natural way to boost your Vitamin D levels and there’s no shortage of sunshine in Maui. As a side effect, you’ll probably get a great tan too; just don’t forget to apply sunscreen regularly.

Maui’s humid climate makes for a lush landscape. Spending time around plants in nature, sometimes called “greenspaces,” has proven to be psychologically restorative.
